On 8 May, Swedens' Ambassador Sofia Calltorp signed a new 3 year programme with We Effect to boost green enterprises, create more jobs + improve rural livelihoods & income across 9 districts in Zimbabwe.
We Effect’s ‘Green Enterprise and Business Development Programme’ will together w/ their partners Jekesa Pfungwa Vulingqondo Self Help Development Foundation Zimbabwe Zimbabwe Womens Bureau improve sustainable livelihoods and food security for rural women and young people.
It is expected to result in a doubling of the household income for 67500 rural women and increasing the annual income for men and young entreprenurs in the mine districts from USD 3425 to USD 6850.
