Last week our consular colleagues were in Victoria Falls for a consular crisis simulation together with the U.S. Embassy, the Embassy of Canada and the Australian Embassy in ZImbabwe.
The exercise group met with doctors, ambulance operators, hospitals, immigration, Airport officials, police and many more that are likely to be involved in a consular emergency - such as natural disasters, accidents, deaths etc.
An average of 3-4000 Swedes pass through Zimbabwe every year - the vast majority in Victoria Falls and Hwange.
Swedish ctizens are always encouraged to register on ”svensklistan” so that the Embassy is aware of your visit in the case of an emergency.
