Swedish children born abroad who have never had a Swedish passport, national ID card, or been registered in Sweden need a coordination number to apply for their first Swedish passport. Coordination numbers are requested for passport purposes only. The application is free of charge.
The Embassy of Sweden in Manila only requisites a coordination number if you intend to apply for a temporary passport through us, and only for persons residing in the Philippines. If you are planning to apply for a passport elsewhere, you should apply for the coordination number at that passport authority.
When a decision for the coordination number has been made by The Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket), the applicant has three (3) months to apply for a temporary passport.
Additional documents may requested, based on individual circumstances.
Send an e-mail to the Consular Section to schedule an appointment: ambassaden.manila-konsulart@gov.se
Kindly note our visiting and telephone hours.
Should you wish to apply for the coordination number at the Honorary Consulate in Cebu, please contact the Consulate directly to schedule an appointment. See contact details to the Consulate below.
The Swedish Tax Agency makes the decision on the request for a coordination number. More information on how long it takes to receive a decision is available on the Swedish Tax Agency's website.
