Monday – Friday 09.00 – 11.00 and 13.00 – 15.00

Consular section for Swedish citizens (passport, marriage license/ certification, etc) 

Visiting hours: Wednesdays, 13.00 – 15.30

Migration section

Visiting hours: Thursday, 08:30 - 15.40
Telephone hours:  Monday – Thursday, 13.00 – 15.00, Friday 09:00 – 11:00.             

Applications for Work-, Studies- and Residence permits can be submitted online via the Swedish Migration Agency's webiste

From 1 June 2026, the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok will be responsible for handling migration matters for applicants from Indonesia, Timor Leste, and Papua New Guinea. This applies to Indonesian citizens, citizens of Timor Leste, and citizens of Papua New Guinea as well as individuals who are legally residing in Indonesia, Timor Leste, and Papua New Guinea.

Visa applications are handled by VFS Global
The Embassy of Sweden in Jakarta does not handle Schengen visa applications. Instead, the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok, Thailand, handles all Schengen visa applications from Indonesia.  Applicants from Indonesia should therefore submit their Schengen visa applications to VFS Global in Jakarta or Bali. The visa applications are then sent to the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok for decision.
