Travel is not just about cityscape and nature. It is also a cultural experience. On March 27, the Consulates General of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden in Shanghai along with the tourism boards of the four countries organized a Nordic cultural tourism event at Nordic restaurant Pelikan in Shanghai.

Themed "Nordic knowledge tourism", the event attracted an audience of around 70 guests including media, business and tourism professionals. The guests had the opportunity not only to learn about tourism highlights in the Nordic region but also to get a taste of Nordic culture.
The event began with a welcome speech on the Nordic region as a travel destination, delivered by Consul General of Denmark Nicolai Prytz on behalf of the four Consulates. Then speakers from IKEA, Pelikan, the Nordic Centre at Fudan University, Tongji University and the Nordic tourism boards introduced Nordic home design, cuisine, winter sports, innovation and tourism respectively.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all states in the world, with embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
