British citizens
For UK nationals, moving to Sweden changed as of 1 January 2021. For anyone who was a Swedish resident the 31 December 2020, your right to study in Sweden remains unchanged, for as long as you are a resident. The registration closed 30 September 2021.
As of 1 November 2022, applicants who submit or have have an open application for a residence permit must visit the Embassy to show their valid passport. You must bring the original physical passport - copies or photos are not accepted.
This can be done during the Migration Section’s opening hours without prior appointment. Biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) may be taken at the same time.
