Schengen visas - for visits up to 90 days
A Schengen visa is required for individuals of certain nationalities who wish to visit the Schengen countries for up to 90 days. A Schengen visa can be issued for a maximum of 90 days.
Pakistani nationals and other nationals legally residing in Pakistan can apply for a Schengen visa in Islamabad. The applications are processed by the Swedish Migration Agency.
Sweden has a global framework agreement with an external service provider, VFS Global, that accepts applications for Schengen visas on behalf of the Swedish Migration Agency. VFS Global accepts Schengen visa applications on behalf of the Swedish Migration Agency in Islamabad.

VFS Global does not make any decisions or assessments in applications. The applications are assessed by the Swedish Migration Agency.

Residence permits for visits - for visits more than 90 days
If you want to visist Sweden for more than 90 days, you must apply for residence permit for visit. Information on how to apply, fees and required documentation can be found on the Swedish Migration Agency's website.
