Schengen Visa Applications

Applications for Schengen visas for citizen and residents in Mozambique are handled by the French Embassy in Maputo.

The Embassy of Sweden in Maputo is not authorized to handle Schengen visa applications.

A granted visa is not a guarantee that you will be able to enter Sweden. It is the Swedish Border Police that decides whether a person can enter Sweden or not, regardless if you have a valid visa or residence permit. If the police assess that a person does not have the right to enter Sweden, the person will be deported with immediate effect. The decision in each individual case will be made upon arrival at the border control point based on the presented documentation.
