Applications for Schengen visas for Sweden for residents of Australia, are handled by Norway.
In some countries, Sweden is represented by another Schengen State for the processing of Schengen visa applications. These arrangements are governed by Schengen visa representation agreements, under which the representing Schengen State is responsible for the entire process from receiving applications to making decisions, and may choose to use the services of an external service provider.
Under the Schengen visa representation agreement in Australia, Sweden is represented by Norway. Applications for Schengen visas for Sweden for residents of Australia are received through the external service provider VFS Global, and are processed by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, on behalf of Sweden.
